Working with flat patterns

Right clicking on a row or multiple highlighted rows opens a menu with commands for manipulating the selected items. The availability of the command in the menu is based on the state of the selected items.

Open part

Opens the selected sheet metal components.

Find in window

Zooms the view to the selected component(s).

Create flat pattern

Creates a flat pattern for the selected components. Previews of the flat patterns are also created.

Flat pattern preview

Creates flat pattern previews.

Rotate flat pattern for 90°

Rotates the flat patterns in 90° increments.After rotating, the flat pattern thumbnails and the measurements are updated.

Flip flat pattern

Flips the flat patterns from top to bottom and vice versa.

Flat patterns can be automatically flipped so that most of the bends are in the up on down direction by clicking Auto Flip button:

All the flat patterns are inspected and if necessary, flipped in such way that most of the bends are in UP (or DOWN) direction.

Align along longest edge

Aligns the longest edge of the flat patterns horizontally. After rotating the flat patterns, the thumbnails and dimensions are updated. You can then rotate them in 90° increments.

Aligns the longest bend of the flat patterns in the horizontal direction. After rotating the flat patterns, the thumbnails and dimensions are updated. You can then rotate them in 90° increments.

Show selected items

Hides all components that are not selected for export in the first column.

Show all

Shows all sheet metal parts in the list regardless of their selection status.
