Presets

 

AutoDXF (from version v6) system of presets enables you to save different settings of the entire program. A preset contains:

-          program settings,

-          layer settings,

-          DXF text settings

-          Custom iProperty settings

-          file naming settings.

The Default preset is always present and cannot be deleted. It is editable by default and cannot be locked for editing.

If the option AutoSave settings in the Settings menu is enabled, the program behaves in the same way as in previous versions: all the settings can be changed, and they are automatically saved when you close the program.

A new preset is loaded by selecting it from the drop-down menu:

Create a new preset

 

Click the image button to create a new preset. A new preset is always created as a copy of currently active preset. After clicking the button the message is displayed:

Click Yes to save the changes made to the currently active preset or No to discard the changes. After that enter the new preset name:

After clicking OK a new preset is created and selected:

Edit and Save the preset changes

 

All user presets are by default read-only. This means that most of the settings cannot be changed. If you want to change them, you have to enable the Edit option:

Even if Edit isn’t enabled the export file save location can be changed.

Click the  image button to manually save the current preset changes. If the AutoSave settings in the Settings menu is enabled the changes will be saved when you close the program

 

Delete a preset

 

Currently active preset can be deleted by clicking the image button. The Default preset is activated after the deletion.

 

Copy presets to another computer

 

The presets are saved in the subfolders of the settings folder. Open the settings folder by clicking the Open settings folder command in the Settings menu.

The subfolders marked with red rectangle are 4 different presets. To transfer the presets simply copy them to the settings folder on the target computer.
